Our hand-hewn, barnwood wall shelves are made from real timber beams and perfected by old world Amish craftsmanship. Because they are hand-hewn and antiqued to look like reclaimed wood, every shelf is unique with no two looking alike, while their checks and cracking fill each one with character and charm. INSTALLATION: BRACKETS vs. NOTCHING:
You can install your shelf using brackets you have purchased elsewhere; or you may install it using the notched method.
- BRACKETS: If you plan to install your shelf using any type of bracket system, you will need to order your shelf with NO NOTCHING. By default, all of our floating shelves do not come notched. (Brackets are not included.)
- NOTCHING: If you plan to install your shelf using a 2x4 that is secured to the wall, you will need to order your shelf WITH NOTCHING. The notched area of the shelf will then slide over the 2x4 on the wall. Notching is an additional charge. Please see our shelf installation guidelines for notching for additional information.
